It’s one of the most complex government systems ever created, so many seniors and their families aren’t sure where to start when it comes to applying for Medicaid long-term care. Even more people begin the process but get stuck somewhere along the way. If you are in either group, or if you need Medicaid long-term care and have other questions, our Benefits Consultation may be right for you.
This service can help clarify the confusion so many families find as they try to access Medicaid long-term care. Without clarity, the confusion can become overwhelming and lead some to delay the application process, or drop it all together. But any hesitation might prove costly since senior housing and long-term care can be $150,000/year or more, a price tag that will quickly deplete savings and destroy plans for comfortable golden years.
At Eldercare Resource Planning, we have a team of professionals ready to help our clients navigate the entire process – from understanding eligibility requirements, to completing the application, to making sure they are getting the long-term care they need and deserve. Our Certified Medicaid Planners™ have been trained and tested on the intricacies of Medicaid across all 50 states, and they put that knowledge to use on a daily basis helping families just like yours acquire long-term care.
Our Benefits Consultation process begins with a free 10-minute phone call. During this call we will assess your situation, determine if we can help or not, and decide how to proceed. If the full Benefits Consultation service makes the most sense, we will then schedule the next step in the process – a private, one-hour session with a Certified Medicaid Planner (CMP).
This one-hour meeting can be over the phone or via teleconference. The CMP will review the client’s situation in detail so they can prepare a customized action plan. The client will also have time to ask any questions they might have, and to share their healthcare and financial goals, so they can feel comfortable with the entire process. We know the frustrations of planning for long-term care, and this one-hour conversation is designed to ease those frustrations by providing answers and guidance.
After the meeting, our CMPs create personalized plans that show their clients the best path to long-term care.
Our clients will receive a written copy of their customized plan soon after their initial consultation.
The plan will summarize all of the information discussed in the one-hour consultation, including answers to the client’s questions and follow-ups on their goals, and it will also contain:
